Product Review: Peanut Butter and Strawberry Kind Bar

Kind Bars are a great snack to add to the kid’s lunchboxes. They have a great texture, a satisfying sweetness, fun flavors and and impressive list of healthy benefits. They are GMO-Free, cholesterol free, low sodium, all natural and gluten and wheat free. The Peanut Butter and Strawberry flavor has 7g protein and 4 g fiber.

Ease of Use

This is a ready to eat trail mix type bar. It will travel well and is individually packaged.

Appearance

This bar features large chunks of almonds and peanuts spread through with chunks of what looks to be strawberry preserves.

Taste and Texture

Crunchy almonds and peanuts compliment the texture of the strawberry “goo” perfectly. The bar is velvety on the tongue, like crunchy peanut butter.

I was intensely disappointed by the flavor. On first bite, I tasted sweet strawberry and nutty goodness. After the first taste, the flavor completely disappears, and I do mean all of the flavor. It amazed me that the flavor got less satisfying the more I chewed. Each bite was the same - a rush of flavor, followed by the void. The aftertaste was something I will not soon forget, and am not anxious to repeat.

Versatility

Like most “bars”, the versatility lies in the ability to travel. This is really a snack that can go anywhere.

Overall Value

Peanut Butter and Strawberry Kind Bar sells for less than $2.

Rating

Not great. I have tried other flavors of Kind Bars and loved them. I will stick to the other flavors in the future.
